During his career, he has investigated nearly a thousand property losses related to improper construction and design, adverse weather conditions, and building maintenance issues.

Mr. Koehler has spent 6 years in production-oriented engineering, 12 years in research and consulting, and 8 years in civil and structural engineering forensics. Additionally, he has 6 years of hands-on experience as a carpenter and construction manager, which lends him an even greater understanding of the intricacies of construction and design.

Mr. Koehler has also performed a pre-sale structural and building envelope due diligence of a 110 million dollar commercial property in Denver, the completion of a 600 thousand dollar modification of an existing reservoir and construction of a new pump station for domestic irrigation at a 750-home Colorado community, and the restoration of a 130-year-old historic log church in Southwestern Montana. He also has extensive experience with the identification of construction and maintenance problems in multi-family dwellings and the design of remedial measures for those problems.
